Bob Lynch, CEO of Americans for the Arts has been the contemporary mastermind behind the 50 year old organization that galvanizes citizens across America to lobby in support of arts issues. He gave a keynote address at a 2008 Performing Arts Alliance event in Ottawa that assembled volunteer leadership from the Canadian Dance Assembly, Opera.ca, Orchestras Canada and the Professional Association of Canadian Theatre. I caught him at the Arts Action Fund reception today and asked him for some advice.
Then I got to meet actor Kyle MacLachlan from Desperate Housewives/Sex and the City. I have this crappy photo to show for it. 😉
Until you get your picture taken with Robert Downey Jr., I just don’t care.
I love what Bob Lynch said about generalities being the “hobgoblin” of advocacy! It’s almost as good as your photo with Trey McDougall!
